Vintage Style Crochet Leg Warmers / Boot Cuffs

Check out my Etsy shop HERE!
Take a closer look at these lovely leg accessories!

This listing is for a set of crocheted leg warmers/boot cuffs.
Lately I have noticed that boot cuffs and leg warmers have become quite popular, and rightfully so. They look cute while also serving a purpose.

I personally never wear boot cuffs and there are a couple different reasons why. First, I wear flare leg pants. I don't look good in tighter legged pants and tighter legged pants make it really difficult to conceal a firearm. Boot cuffs just look plain funny when you have a lot of extra, bunchy fabric poking out all over. The second reason is that I wear cowboy boots. I don't own fancy, high-topped, high-heeled boots. I'm not that kinda girl. If I were to tuck my pants into my boots to accommodate a boot cuff, living in the area I do, I would be mocked and teased unmercifully. There are just rules here. Don't tuck your pants into your cowboys boots... EVER.

Now on the subject of leg warmers, I'm game. I would totally wear these with workout gear and bring the 80's back. My dog walks in the morning would be so stylin' that everyone I passed would be ashamed that they didn't have a pair. I would also wear them under my pants as extra cozy warmness when I'm hunting. The same goes for wearing them with my muck boots when I'm doing chores. Practical. That's me.

Anyway, those last couple of blurb had absolutely nothing to do with this beautiful set of leg accessories. I just apparently felt the need to rant about something today...
I have been told by multiple friends (with better style than
myself) that these two items don't go together. I know this...
but it is such a cute picture (one the only boot props I had)!

Materials: 100% Made in the USA Acrylic Yarn
These warmers/cuffs are made from Lion Brand Heartland. This is a super soft acrylic yarn made in the USA. I am totally in love with this yarn. It comes in some of the most beautiful colors, is a dream to work with and is so pillow-y soft that I could just snuggle down into a bin of it and stay there forever. Is that creepy? That might be a little creepy, but I love it that much.

Size:
-Length: 11"
-Circumference: 10.5"
The warmers/cuffs are sized to fit from the ankle to the upper calf. Leg circumferences differ from person to person, but through some research I found that the average woman's calf size is 14". This what I based my design off of. However, these warmers/cuffs have stretchy ribbing to accommodate different leg sizes and still stay in place.

Care:
Machine wash, gentle
-Dry, low
-Do not dry clean
-Do not bleach
-Do not iron
The most important care rule with any item made from acrylic yarn is: Do not iron! Acrylic is a synthetic fiber and it will melt into a big pile of plasticy goo that will get all over your iron. Not good. The plus side of acrylic is that it is machine wash and dry friendly.

Additional Information:
These leg warmers feature stretchy ribbing and an open body design for comfort that stays in place. They are sized to fit an average 14" calf size and are made of very soft, acrylic yarn. The color is a beautiful cream with splashes of tan. These warmers are designed to be worn as leg warmers or boot cuffs depending on your fancy. They are so thick and warm! Perfect for a chilly day.
Most of this we have already covered. The color is beautiful. The cream color has flecks of tan mixed in that make the color warm and happy. The texture of these warmers/cuffs is also pretty wonderful. The body is striped with puff stitch and single crochet (for anyone who knows crochet lingo), which makes it fluffy and soft.
You can see the splashes of tan mixed with the cream color. The ribbing and the body both have wonderful texture.

If you would like to make these warmers/cuffs for yourself, I used this pattern to base my design off of. Just be forewarned that I tweaked the design to fit my fancy, so the finished product will not look exactly like mine.

This is a custom order pair. The color is called "Great Smokey Mountains". I love it!
