Sweet Biscuits

These biscuits are fabulous for a grab-and-go breakfast or snack. They never stay around long in my house. The recipe is one my momma found on a Bisquick box years ago and it has been a favorite of mine ever since.

Biscuits:
2 cups Bisquick
2 tbs Sugar
1/4 cup Butter
2/3 cup Milk
1/4 cup Fruit Preserves (I prefer raspberry, but you may use any flavor you like.)
Vanilla Glaze

Vanilla Glaze:
1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
1 tbs Warm Water
1 tsp Vanilla
Mix until smooth.

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line a 12 cup muffin tin with baking cups.

Mix Bisquick, sugar and butter until crumbly.

Add milk and mix until dough forms.

Place 1 tablespoon of dough into each muffin cup. Then place 1 teaspoon preserves on top of the dough. (Tip: I never actually measure out the dough or preserves. I find it easier to drop spoon-fulls of dough into the muffin cups and then spoon preserves from the jar.)

Place remaining dough on top of preserves and bake for 8-12 minutes. (Tip: Baking time may vary. Not everyone lives at an extreme altitude like I do, so just make sure they are golden brown.)

Immediately remove from pan and drizzle with vanilla glaze.
